1. In short
- Cancel any time. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Your first payment for a plan, monthly or annual, is refunded in full if you ask within 48 hours, whether or not you have used it. The Free plan is the trial.
- A renewal is refunded in full if you ask within 48 hours and have not used the new period.
- Otherwise, payments already made are not refunded, and we do not prorate.
2. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not end your access early. You keep everything the plan includes until the end of the period you have already paid for, and your account moves to the Free plan after that. Your watchlist and chat history stay with your account.
3. Your first payment
If you buy a paid plan (Base or Pro) for the first time, you can ask for a full refund within 48 hours of the first charge. This applies to monthly and annual plans alike, once per customer. You do not need to give a reason, and having used the product during those 48 hours does not stop you from asking. We offer a Free plan with the complete analysis, so there is a way to try FilingEye before you pay.
We may decline a refund where the service was used in breach of the terms, for example to bulk-extract analyses.
4. A renewal
Plans renew automatically until you cancel. If one renews and you meant to cancel, write to us within 48 hours of the charge and we will refund that renewal in full, provided you have not analyzed any filings or asked any questions in the new period. Once a renewed period has been used, it is not refunded: the service was delivered, and cancelling stops the next renewal.
5. After that
Outside the windows above, payments already made are not refunded. In particular, if you cancel an annual plan after 48 hours, it stays active to the end of the year you paid for, and we do not refund the unused months. If prices change, we tell existing subscribers by email at least 30 days before it affects them, and the new price applies from the next renewal, so you can cancel first.
6. How to ask, and how you are paid
Email [email protected] within the 48 hours, from the address on your account or telling us the email you signed up with. We reply and, if the refund is due, we return the payment to the card or method you paid with, through our payment processor. Your bank decides how long it takes to appear, usually 5 to 10 business days. Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank; it is quicker for both of us.
7. Your legal rights
Nothing here limits any right you have under the law where you live. If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have a statutory right to cancel an online purchase within 14 days. Where that right applies we honor it, even though the 48 hours above is shorter; the law may allow us to deduct a proportionate amount for any use you asked us to start within that period. The terms of service (section 7) cover billing and renewal.
