Questions

What people ask first

Is it really free?

Yes. The Free plan runs the complete analysis (all 18 ratios, the forensic scores, footnote changes, key findings and sentiment) on three filings a month, 10-K and 10-Q only. Nothing in it is blurred or held back. Base ($14.99 a month) adds every filing type, a watchlist with email alerts and AI chat. Pro ($24.99) raises the limits and adds comparison against any earlier filing. See pricing.

Where do the numbers come from?

From the SEC’s EDGAR system. Ratios and forensic scores are computed by a fixed engine from the XBRL data the company itself filed, and every figure links back to the filing it came from so you can check it. We do not buy third-party data feeds.

What is computed and what is written by AI?

Numbers are computed, never generated: the ratios, the four forensic scores, the segment figures and the footnote comparison. The AI writes the executive summary, key findings, sentiment, materiality ratings and chat answers, and each is labeled as AI. Every finding carries the exact passage it rests on, and a claim whose passage cannot be found in the filing is downgraded and says so.

Does it tell me what to buy or sell?

No. FilingEye is a research tool, not investment advice, and it does not recommend any security. It shows you what a filing says and what changed, so you can decide. See the terms.

Which filings does it work on?

Every filing type can be analyzed. 10-K and 10-Q get the deepest analysis: summary, key findings, ratios against the prior period, forensic scores, sentiment and footnote changes. Earnings 8-Ks get a summary, basic ratios, findings and sentiment. Other 8-Ks, proxy statements, registration statements and insider forms get a summary, sentiment and chat, because they have no balance sheet to compute ratios from. The Free plan covers 10-K and 10-Q; Base and Pro cover every type.
